Cleveland Metroparks Ten to Explore presented by Wayside Furniture. Each month it's "Time to Explore" the top 10 list of new locations to explore within the eighteen park reservations.

Wayside is a proud supporter of The Nightlight Cinema! The Nightlight is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit movie theater in Akron, Ohio, dedicated to fostering community through cinema. From indie flicks and docs to cult classics and more, they’re passionate about playing great cinema worth seeing on the big screen, and make it a point to have something exceptional for everyone.

The Cleveland Seed Bank works to inspire, educate and grow a community network of seed savers. The Seed Libraries of the Cleveland Seed Bank are places where community members can access a selection of 24 organically grown, open-pollinated vegetable seeds, available free of charge at sponsored library branches.

Wayside is thrilled to increase our support of Summit Metro Parks by sponsoring the following events.

Fishing Derbies-Firestone Metro Park; Mother's Day 5K-Munro Falls Metro Park; Native Plant Festival-Munroe Falls Metro Park; Music by the Lake-Munroe Falls & Silver Creek Metro Parks; Touch-a-Truck-Munroe Falls Metro Park; Films & Fireflies-Multiple park locations; Fall Family Outing-Munroe Falls Metro Park.

Wayside is thrilled to continue our support of the City of Stow's Bow Wow Beach Dog Park located at Silver Springs Park.

Join us and a variety of local vendors for a Pre-Memorial Day Market! There'll be shopping, food trucks, live music, free health screenings and more! Plus, in addition to in-store specials, Wayside will also be matching donations to any Veteran or First Responder non-profit/charitable organization between 5/18-5/27. Kick off the summer by welcoming wildlife into your yard with beautiful, beneficial native plants. Join Summit Metro Parks staff and local native plant nurseries to learn more about the vital role of native plants in our ecosystem. Browse a wide variety of plants available for purchase, or attend an educational session to better understand how to incorporate native plants into your landscaping. Presented by Wayside!

Enjoy an evening of live music, food trucks and yard games in a family-friendly atmosphere on select Fridays May 25th-July 5th at the Stow City Center. Bring your lawn chairs and bug spray!

On Friday, May 24, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., the Akron Civic Theatre taps into the growing interest in whiskey and bourbon tastings by putting our unique twist on a new immersive tasting event. At A Whiskey Deemed Worthy, presented by Wayside Furniture, whiskey lovers and the whiskey curious will enter a world of “liquid sunshine” and enjoy their choice of four pours from among 16 American whiskeys. The event will also feature ambient live music and a delicious array of noshes — a spectacular charcuterie presentation of meats, cheeses, vegetables, dips and breads; chicken wings; and sweet and savory selections. This event is for adults 21 years of age.

The 15th Annual Kent Blues Fest presented by Wayside Furniture on Saturday July 13th beginning at 1pm in Downtown Kent. Featuring over 30 bands at over 20 venues. FREE of charge.

Kids get up-close and personal with a dozen Summit Metro Parks vehicles. Local law enforcement agencies will be present and Air Bear from Akron Childrens' Hospital will make a special appearance. Presented by Wayside Furniture.

Join us for the ultimate summer movie experience! Enjoy an evening under the stars in a scenic setting while watching your favorite films with family and friends. Downtown Kent at Hometown Bank Plaza will be filled with pet-related vendors, veterinarians, adoption groups, live music, food trucks and beer! As always, you can expect a dog parade and dog contests-including Best Dressed, Biggest, Smallest and new this year, Furthest-Traveled. Wayside is thrilled to support the Madonio Animal Trust.

Summit County’s largest celebration of pets! Over 2,000 animal lovers and their furry family members come out for the annual Pledge Walk and Pet Expo.

Fall into autumn fun at this FREE event featuring a lumberjack show, hayrides, bonfires, naturalist activities, music, refreshments and more.

Every Friday-Sunday in October at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. More than a dozen Treat Stations Presented by Wayside Furniture.
